GAA launch their website
|
Recently Roscommon County
Board GAA launched its revamped website www.gaaroscommon.ie.
The website, which has been developed in conjunction
with eSportsmanager.ie, a Castlebar-based developer
of Sports Management Software, has proved most popular
since it began operating in May.
The site offers a comprehensive overview of activities
run by the GAA in the county. As well as providing
an update on all fixture that occur in the county
it also provides a results service with instant
updates and the provision of accurate league tables
and scoring differences. This service enables clubs
to have instant information on all games that they
have played to date as well as information on upcoming
fixtures.
The home page provides a detailed news service and
allows clubs to place notices on their activities
and events as well as providing information on matters
relating to Co. Board events such as county team
lineouts and news on meetings and other events.
Clubs will have access to a very wide public as
hits to the site are running at over 12000 visitors
to the site since its launch. The site also allows
clubs to post match reports on the section relating
to fixtures and gives under age matches’ preference
in this section. This provides younger players and
club members with the opportunity to display their
match reporting skills and contributions in this
area would be most welcome.
The site provides links to the Croke Park website
as well as to the website of the Connacht Council.
The website provides advertising space for sponsors
of our leagues and championships thus allowing commercial
operation that support GAA activities in Roscommon
a vehicle to benefit from sponsoring GAA activities
in the county.
