Unbelievable
comeback from Kilmacud Crokes
|
Two second half goals
from Mark Davoren helped 14-man Kilmacud Crokes
win the Leinster title at Parnell Park.
Crokes were run off their feet by an excellent Rhode
team in the first half, and as early as the 14th
minute appeared down and out when Cian OSullivan
was sent off following a straight red card.
Niall McNamee scored 1-03, as Rhode took a 1-06
to 0-03 lead into half-time.
Davorens goal-scoring as well as a superbly committed
14 man display in the second half helped Crokes
grind out a third provincial win. This wasnt the
first time the Crokes players have had their backs
to the wall and no doubt they will even further
relish the next day out all the more.
