The sides were level at 0-7 to 0-7 at the interval, but Craughwell took control in the second half and led by 2-13 to 0-11 with 5 minutes to go. Although they looked home and dry, good champions never go down without a fight and that is exactly what St. Thomas did. They...

Will the men of Loughrea bounce straight back up to Intermediate where they came down from last year, or will the truly amazing revival of hurling in Barna/Furbo bring them a second Junior title in three years and more importantly Intermediate hurling next year. Conditions might not be the best this time of year but Pearse...

Ardrahan and Killimor replay for Junior B honours

Wednesday 05th December, 2012

After a dramatic finish in the first game in Ballinasloe, when Killimor scored a free deep in injury time to secure a well earned draw against Ardrahan, the sides will meet again on Saturday in Duggan Park to see who will prevail to be Junior B Champions for 2012. I went to the first game and while it wasn't free flowing to look at it was dramatic and exciting for the supporters on each side. The scoreline at 0-7 to 0-7 will speak for itself as scores were indeed very hard to come by and both sides will be disappointed with their shooting, and more...
