Winter League 

Competition Rules


FORMAT
Round (1) matches to be completed by Sunday 5th February. Individual matches may be arranged by agreement between the captains of each team on any day preceding that date.
Team Sheet showing order of play must be exchanged begore the first match commences.
Matches to be played over 18 holes on the yellow course.
Check Local Rules.
Format - 2 singles matches & 1 foursomes.

HANDICAP ALLOWANCE
Singles - Full difference between the handicaps of each player.
Foursomes - Half of difference between aggregate handicaps of each side.
Matches to continue until a result is achieved. (Extra holes if neccessary.)
Breach of Rules may lead to a disqualification.


Substitution:

Substitution for the long term incapacity of a team member due to medical problems or injury may be allowed as follows:

  • The substitute proposed must not have played on any other team in the 2011-2012 Winter League Competition.
  • He must be a paid up member of the Club and have a current handicap.
  • The substitution if allowed will be permanent for the duration of the 2011 - 2012 Winter League Competition.
  • Any such substitution must be approved in advance by the Competitions Committee.

 

Decisions regarding the playability of the course or the abandoning of competitions will be made in consultation with the Grounds Committee and members will be notified by text.

The Competitions Committee reserves the right to add or alter the conditions of competition.
