Hello Members.

Let me start by introducing myself as Michael Halton, Whitehall Colmcille GAA Club Golf Society Captain for 2012.

I wish you all a Happy and Healthy new year.
Brendan Hawkins (Chalkey), a long serving member of the GAA club, is my Vice Captain and he is already feverously planning for 2013.

I was asked by numerous members to see if we can add a bit of variety to the 2012 Golf outings and with the exception of the home(Balcarrick) of Golf in North Dublin, I have booked four new courses. These courses were highly recommended to me by fellow members.

The key to success is to surround yourself with the best.

With this thought in mind I list below some of my esteemed committee members.

Background
Whitehall Colmcille Golf Society was founded in 1988 by members of our GAA Club who were looking to fill their time, during the long summer days, with an outdoor sport that had a mix of fun, competition and friendship. Golf fulfilled that role perfectly.

The Society in its own right has been central in bringing together generations of members who in one way or another contributed to Whitehall Colmcille GAA Club. From modest beginnings the Golf Society has developed a solid membership of over 50 golfers. They share the enjoyment of playing many well known courses, and the pleasure of celebrating the results of those endeavors. The Society has kept members and friends in touch over the years.
