Longford ASAP Programme

Galway All-Ireland winning captain Joe Connolly officially launched the Longford County Board ASAP programme in February in a packed Longford Arms.

Connolly, who played hurling with his local club Castlegar and was a member of the Galway senior inter-county team from 1976 until 1984 while he captained the Galway team to the All-Ireland title in 1980, proved very popular on the night and made a wonderful speech.

Other guest speakers on the night included Brendan Murphy, National Co-ordinator GAA ASAP Programme and Leinster Council Vice-Chairman Martin Skelly.

Longford ASAP Officer Bríd McGoldrick presented a wonderful presentation to the full house at the Longford Arms while John Duffy was MC.
