The Senior and Reserves will be on the road this weekend when they take on Carndonagh, the day and times will be confirmed at training during the week. Great win for the Senior panel against Milford last Saturday evening, a good effort all round by the lads who lifted themselves well after the disappointment last week in the Intermediate Championship. Result Urris 3 – 14 Milford 1 - 10
The U14 boys will play Glenswilly in Straid this Wednesday evening at 6.30pm in the Northern Board Division 3 Championship semi-final; the boys should be in Straid at 6.00pm to prepare for the game; the boys should check with Darragh or Daniel if they are unsure of arrangements. The lads had to battle all the way to see off the challenge of Malin last Wednesday night and will have to produce another strong performance if they want to reach the Championship final.
The Minor boys were pushed all the way by Burt in the Inishowen playoff last Friday evening but eventually prevailed with a late flurry of goals to grab a spot against Carndonagh in the Inishowen sem-final. That match will be played in Malin on Monday, September 6. Adrian or Michael will give the lads full details at training during the week.
The U13 boys will travel to Moville on Thursday evening at this week not Tuesday as originally scheduled. The lads lost out to Malin last week but put in their best performance of the season so far in defeat. If they had been a bit cuter in front of goal the game could well have gone the other way. The lads should check with Daniel if they are unsure of travel arrangements for the Moville game and training times for the coming week.
The U8 boys and girls took part in a blitz last Saturday in Malin and once again showed their skills well against the other teams; thanks to everyone who travelled to support the boys and girls on the day. There seems to be some confusion over the remaining blitzes and hopefully this will be sorted out during the week. Details will be given to the boys and girls at training which will take place on Friday evening at 5.30pm. If parents have any questions they should check with Susan, Marie or Sandra.
The Club Iorras winners for the month of August were: Danny Friel, Dunaff, €50; John Farren, Ardagh, €30 and Neil G McLaughlin, Isle Of Doagh, €20.
