Notes

Commiserations  to the County Minor Hurling Team who lost out to  Tyrone in the final of the All Ireland Minor Hurling C Championship last Sunday. Commiserations also to the County Under 16  Footballers who lost in the Final of the Buncrana Cup to Derry on Saturday.

Congratulations to both Bundoran and Clochaneely on qualifying for the final of Busanna Feda Ó Dónaill Intermediate  Football Championship, and to the reserves teams of Sean McCumhaills and Clochaneely who have reached the final of the Intermediate Reserve Championship. We  also congratulate Setanta and Sean McCumhaills on qualifying for the Senior Hurling Championship Final. 

The Semi-finals of the RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta Senior Football Championship will take place this weekend, on Saturday at 6.30 pm in McCumhaill Park  its Four Masters and Killybegs  while on Sunday in O'Donnell Park @ 6.30pm it's the turn of Glenswilly and  Naomh Conaill. The Semi-finals of the Reserve Championship between Ardara and Four Masters and Gaoth Dobhair v St Michaels respectively are due to be played as curtain raisers to the senior matches.

The final of the Junior Hurling Championship between Aodh Ruadh And Sean McCumhaills will take place in Tir Conaill Park Donegal Town at 5.00pm on Sunday. There is also matches this weekend  in both the Feda O Donaill Junior A and B Football championships.

Congratulations to St Michaels on the official opening of their Club House at the weekend.

Heroes of the Match' from 2005 to 2010

To make the choice easier, Cadbury have listed all of the Cadbury ‘Heroes of the Match' from 2005 to 2010 on their dedicated football website www.cadburygaau21.com. Donegal fans are encouraged to support county stars Michael Murphy and Leo McLoone who are both included on the list

To help fans we have provided lists of the Cadbury ‘Heroes of the Match' for 2005 - 2010 on our website www.cadburygaau21.com. A 'Cadbury Hero of the Match' Award is presented to 15 players each year, selected based on their performance, from the provincial semi-finals stage through to the All-Ireland final, after which one player is chosen as the Cadbury Hero of the Future for that year. Voting closes on Senior Football All-Ireland final day, the 19th of September 2010. The 15 players who receive the most votes and make the cut will make the Cadbury 15

Age criteria

Clubs please note that for player's to be eligible for respective grades listed. A player shall meet the  stated criteria on 1st January each year (R6.18 O.T 2009) ;

Adult:                Be over 16 years

Under 21:         Be over 16 and under 21 years

Minor: (U18)    Be over 14 and under 18years

Under 16:         Be over 12 and under 16 years

Under 14:         Be over 10 and under 14 years

Under 12:         Be over   9 and under 12 years

Girls may participate only up to and including the Under 12 grade

Hurling 

In Hurling, it is mandatory for all players to wear a helmet with a facial guard (irrespective of grade) in games and hurling practice sessions.

VHI Cúl Camps

The last two of this years  Annual V.H.I Cúl Summer Camps are continuing this week with camps in;

Buncranna :  Monday 23rd August - Friday 27th August, 65.00 euro per child, 50.00 euro for a second or subsequent family member.

Mc Cumhails : Monday 23rd August - Friday 27th August, 65.00 euro per child, 50.00 euro for a second or subsequent family member.
