Rules

1. The team drawn first has home advantage.

2. If a school did not have home advantage in round one of the competition and the other school did, then the school that did not have home advantage in round one receives home advantage in round two.

3. If a school that has home advantage cannot get a suitable pitch that school forfeits home advantage.

4. It is the obligation of the home school to provide a suitable pitch and an agreed referee.

5. All games are to be played on regulation size G.A.A. pitches.

6. Referees must be active official G.A.A. referees.

7. Games are to be played on or by the appointed date. Please Note: The dates for playing of all games are fixed and stated in the fixtures programme 2011/2012.

8. Games may be brought forward but the Development Officer must be informed in advance.

9. Teams who fail to play their home games on time without a genuine verifiable reason concede home advantage to their opponents.

10. Permission may be given to postpone a game only if exceptional
circumstances prevail. Permission to postpone a game must be obtained from  the Rúnaí and Development Officer. Such permission will only be granted if both schools have agreed a specified date to fulfil the fixture.

11. Teams not fulfilling their fixtures on or by the appointed date (subject to 8 & 9 above) will be excluded from further participation in that competition.

12. When a team fails to comply with rules 7, 8 and 9 the team's immediate previous defeated opponents will be allowed back into the competition.

13. In a competition that is organised partly or fully on a league basis, any team that gives a walk-over to another team will be deemed to have given a walkover to all teams.

14. In the event of teams accumulating equal points in a competition that is organised partly or fully on a league basis, the deciding factor will be score difference and then, the result of the game between the teams involved.

15. Extra time must be played in all drawn games with the exception of finals.

16. All finals and semi-finals must be played at a neutral enclosed pitch.

17. The manager of the winning team is obliged to inform the Development Officer: Neally O'Keeffe of match results immediately after each game.

18. If a school brings supporters to a game the school must ensure proper supervision of their supporters while entering, attending and leaving the G.A.A. grounds. Schools will be held responsible for their supporters' behaviour.

19. In the event of a player being sent off,referee to forward report to Runaí C.C.C.

20. Sendings off, including two yellow cards / red card offences, must be reported to the Runaí C.C.C. 

21. A referee's report is obligatory in all such cases.

22. All teams must be registered by September 30th each year.

23. Registration fee is €50 per school year.

24. Two lists of players correctly numbered including their dates of birth and club (if a member) must be given to referee before the game starts.

25. A fee of €20 per school should be paid to all referees officiating at games.

26. A fee of €10 per school should be paid to groundsmen in charge of the venue.

27. Schools are subject to re-grading by the Coiste Choláistí Chorcaí Committee.

28.That Gaelcholáiste Mhuire (An Mhainistir Thuaidh) be allowed to enter a combinined team in the O'Callaghan Cup 2010/2011 as part of the An Mhainistir Thuaidh Bicentenary Celebrations.

29. That all trophies be returned by the winning schools at the first meeting of Coiste Choláistí Chorcaí to take place in the new calender year.

30. Semi-finals to be played in all Under 14 Competitions. 

31.Competitions that are played on a round robin/league basis that the matches should be played in sequence and schools should make every effort to play the games on time. Schools that want to play games out of sequence must get permission from  the Development Officer.
