Castlebar Mitchels won two provincial titles in the Connaught Scor na nÓg finals held in The Royal Theatre, Castlebar, on Sunday, January 29th. Representatives of the Mitchels club won the figure dancing, and the instrumental music sections. In addition, Vicky Davies sang beautifully in the solo singer competition, but did not qualify for the next round. The standard in all competitions was very high.

The dancers were Éabha Rice, Aoife O'Connell, Niamh Gillespie, Ellen Murphy, Claire Balaski, Carrie Gilligan, Katie Forrestal and Louise Gavin.

The audience was regaled by traditional musicians Fintan Murphy, Caoimhe Kilkenny, Pat Boyle, Kate Heneghan and Ellen Murphy.

All these performers go foward to the All-Ireland Finals on Saturday, 18th February, 2012, at 2pm, which will be held at the Royal Theatre, Castlebar.
